| today is the first day of lent. hoopkins inspired me to participate this year. i'm giving up four things. im gonna be a little overachiever for once in my life. one thing im giving up is counterstrike. haha. not a big sacrifice. but i think it will help my other fasts. two of the other ones just involve a little bit of time and are more of a committment than a sacrifice. the other hopefully will be gone longer than just the minumum number of days. i just looked up lent on the internet and there are all these sweet calculations to findout when easter is going to be. awesome. oh ya. i have a fifth commitment. once again, not a sacrifice. but it is to wake up every morning and be happy about the day. and make a commitment to stay that way all day. ive just heard so many people talking about how it is a choice to be happy. so im gonna work on that. anywho, thats my penances for the next few weeks. we'll so how it works out. well, its been forever since ive actually written on here. and the last time that i did. it was actually steve. its funny how i look at this page 20 times a day but never update it. i got invited to the all exclusive defense lacrosse night. im part of the cool club now. ya'll should come to the game on sunday at 2 (i think). life's been pretty crazy the last month or so. i've had a lot of seed ideas to write about. but i'll save them for some other time. i miss a lot of ya'll. oh ya. i read a verse the other week in the bible thats kinda scary. its hebrews 10:26-27. it says "for if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries". makes me wonder about my sins and how i do nothing about them. |
